Yuvajana Sakhyam & Young Families Fellowship (YS & YFF)
Mar Thoma Yuvajana Sakhyam (MTYS) is the youth department of the Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church. Established in 1933, MTYS functions as an approved body of the Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church.
It was formed with the view that youth of the Church should accept Jesus Christ as their saviour and Lord, and bear witness to His powers. A resolution of the Sabha Prathinidhi Mandalam in 1933 led to the formation of this group.
Following the directions of Diocese Of North America And Europe of Marthoma Church, Jerusalem Marthoma church has a vibrant and well established Yuvajana Sakhyam & Young Families Fellowship.
Youth Fellowship
The youth group of our church is a small, yet strong group dedicated to strengthening and maintaining a solid relationship with church and God. We are a spirited group, blessed with numerous talents between the ages 13-31 and it grows every year! We also call ourselves ‘Awake Youth’ based on the verse from Ephesians 5:14, “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” We see this as a new way of thinking and a new means for us to live, worship and gather in Christ.
